How to Use FxInsites: A Simple Guide

September 29, 2026

FxInsites does one job: it helps you plan a trade before you take it. Here's how to use it in 5 minutes.

FxInsites does not tell you what to buy. It does not guess where the market will go.

It checks your idea and keeps an honest record of how it went.

After you sign up, there are four steps.

Step 1: Plan your trade

Open the Trade Planner.

Write your idea in plain words, the way you'd say it to a friend. For example: "I think gold will go up from here."

Then add three prices:

  • Entry: where you get in
  • Stop loss: where you get out if you're wrong
  • Target: where you take your profit

FxInsites checks the plan and tells you, in simple words, if something looks wrong.

For example, it might say your possible reward is too small compared with your risk. It also warns you about common mistakes, like chasing price or betting too big.

Step 2: Check your risk

Open the Risk Calculator.

Enter two things:

  • How much money is in your account
  • What percentage of it you're okay losing on this one trade (many traders pick 1%)

It tells you how much money you could lose and what lot size to use.

Now your risk is a number, not a feeling.

Step 3: Test the idea

Open the Backtest Engine.

Pick a strategy and a time period. FxInsites shows you how that idea would have done on real past prices.

You'll see how many trades it made, how often it won, and whether it made or lost money overall.

The trading costs (spread and slippage) are already taken out, so the results are closer to real life.

Step 4: Log what happened

Open the Trade Journal.

After your trade closes, record the result. If you use MT4 or TradingView, you can import your trades from a file.

Over time, you'll see:

  • Your win rate: how often you win
  • Your average R: how much you make on wins compared with how much you lose
  • How your real trades compare with your plans

Three quick tips

  • Plan first, trade second. Never skip Step 1.
  • Log the losses too. A journal of only wins teaches you nothing.
  • Take the warnings seriously. If FxInsites flags something, stop and look again.
